I love quotes. And as I sat here and watched this emotional UGA football end of year video, I decided I wanted to share the message. Because this advice applies to so much more than football games.
“I think that there is an unhealthy desire for perfection, that what we desire most, we expect to be void of flaws. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. The strongest love is measured in it’s inperfections, and what makes us human are mistakes and failures. The desires to preserve, to overcome, to endure. These are the qualities that define passion, that show how badly we want something”
“I think in the end, the most important thing, was giving up the future we had planned, for the one that was waiting for us. Not everything ends up the way you want it to, but taking the time to realize that the most important things are the people you surround yourself with, your friends and your family, no trophy, no title, no victory is greater than that ”
